More major interstate highways converge in the Indianapolis Region than any other metropolitan area in the U.S. Specifically Interstate-65, Interstate-69, Interstate-70, and Interstate-74 criss-cross through the 10-county Indianapolis Region. This results in 50 percent of the U.S. and Canadian populations being within a one-day truck drive and 75 percent of both populations being within a one-and-a-half day drive. As one of only 10 states with a AAA bond rating, Indiana's "financial house" is in order as a state and we are adding highway miles and improving infrastructure.

The world’s second largest Fed-Ex hub is located at the new Indianapolis International Airport, which opened in Novemeber 2008. Easy acces to such an advanced air freight transport facility and the world's second largest FedEx operation means lower transportation costs and faster delivery times, which is particularly critical for the Indianapolis Region's rapidly growing Transportation, Distribution & Logistics cluster.
